Frequently asked questions

Our balloons have different capacities. The smallest balloon is suitable for 2 passengers and the biggest can carry up to 20 passengers. We can offer private flights for 2 persons, but we can also arrange ballooning experiences for bigger groups up to 100 passengers.
A hot air balloon flight lasts around one hour, depending on the weather conditions and landing possibilities. The entire program will take about 3,5 hours and include a meeting and safety briefing, preparation of the balloon for take-off, the landing, a sparkling toast and the transportation to and from the train station or meeting point.
Most of our balloon flights depart from and around Amersfoort. Amersfoort is a historical city in the center of The Netherlands. From Amsterdam you can take a direct train to Amersfoort, which only takes about 20 minutes. By car it will take about 35 minutes from Amsterdam. If you want to fly from a different location, for instance near the tulip fields, you can make a reservation for a private balloon ride. Unfortunately we can't offer these flights to bigger groups.
Hot Air Ballooning is an outdoor activity, which means it depends on good weather conditions. Unfortunately, in case of rain, fog, or high winds, we can't depart. Flying is only permitted at sunrise or two hours before sunset. The exact times vary per season. We schedule our flights seven days a week, all year round. Most of the flights take place in the period of March to October – the best time to fly.
